Height and access
Tall hedges or those over steep ground may need extra equipment or time. Photos and an idea of height help us plan safely and quote accurately.
Hard reductions take time
Some plants do not recover well from being cut back heavily in one go. Where that is the case, we may suggest reducing size gradually over several visits.
Nesting birds and flowering
Timing can matter. If birds are nesting or a shrub is about to flower, we will talk about whether to wait.

Most hedges benefit from trimming a few times a year during the growing season, though fast-growing screens may need more. We will suggest a schedule based on the plants involved.
Can you reduce the height of a very tall hedge?
Often, depending on the plant, its height and access. Describe it in your enquiry, ideally with photos, and we will discuss what is realistic.
Do you clean up the clippings?
Yes, we clear clippings from beds, lawn and paving. Taking green waste away can be included where agreed.
